Kitchen painter Bow Brickhill Buckinghamshire: A friend recommended me with regards to painting a wooden kitchen. I received the photos and knew immediately that this would be a fantastic project to work on.

I could see that there were varying shades of ash along with some discolouration of the lacquer/varnish. This gives the kitchen an orange tone and make it look quite dated.

On the day that I started, we discussed variations of how the kitchen would look leaving some of the areas in Ash. The areas were open cabinets and plate racks. The shelves in the open cabinets were painted which surprisingly looked really nice.

The photos below shows the kitchen prior to painting.

We had also discussed fitting new handles and magnetic catches as the majority of the doors and drawers did not close properly. Having looked at the doors close up, I decided that it would be worth spending the time to try and make the doors and drawers fit properly on completion.

The doors, drawers, plinths and shelves were removed and painted back in my workshop. This minimises disruption and allows full usage of the kitchen during painting. Kitchen painter Bow Brickhill Buckinghamshire

A fantastic transformation to this tired looking kitchen. My friend called round one afternoon with cupcakes! always well received along with the regular flow of fresh coffee from the lovely client.

These transformations never fail to surprise me, I love doing them as the impact is fantastic. A really well made kitchen given a new lease of life with a complete new look.

Cost of replacing such a kitchen would be enormous, not to mention the upheaval!

If you are considering painting your wooden kitchen, the above blog gives you an idea on what can be achieved for a fraction of the cost of replacement.
