Preparing the kitchen
This kitchen was made of oak and also had become quite dated, The kitchen itself was indeed solid build and the client would have a similar layout if they were to completely replace. Hand painting kitchens Cheshire
My hand painted kitchens are above all painted with the upmost of care and are also of showroom quality every time. Also, my kitchen painting projects begin with the removal of all of the doors, drawers, and plinths etc, these are taken to my workshop for the first few days.
They are then degreased and also rubbed down using fine abrasives. They are then given a coat of high adhesion primer tinted to the top coat colour. This gives a really solid colour in the end and furthermore gives the kitchen colour its boldness.
Once dry, they are lightly sanded down, vacuumed and cleaned further using microfiber cloths to ensure there is no trace of any dust when the top coats are applied. They usually get three coats and are given the same prep as above when re coating.Kitchen cabinet painter Nantwich Cheshire
The kitchen also remains in use as disruption is minimal.

The second phase consists of degreasing, preparing, and masking all the worktops and floor plus any other areas that need protecting prior to priming and painting. It is furthermore treated with the same level of preparation and care as above.
Finally, the doors and drawers are replaced with the existing or new handles. They are put back onto the doors and drawers and are also cleaned if they have any cooking residues on them. All masking is removed. The end result is unquestionably, stunning!Hand painting kitchens Cheshire
I have also included some close up shots. This should give you an idea of the sheen level and the quality of the workmanship. This particular kitchen had the grain running through it and as it was painted I took care in ensuring that the paints were evenly applied to not loose the grain.
The client was absolutely delighted with the results.
You can also view one of my sample doors too so you can check out the quality for yourself. Kitchen cabinet painter Nantwich Cheshire
