Kitchen Cabinet painters Wiltshire: The client commissioned this bespoke kitchen a few years ago and it was finished in a traditional dragged paint effect; this effect was sealed with an oil based varnish and as a result had become discoloured with age. At the stage we were asked to look at this project, the paint system had also started to break down and therefore many of the cabinet doors needed making good prior to painting. The client’s brief was to keep the traditional look in the kitchen but with a lighter more contemporary handpainted finish. Kitchen Cabinet painters Wiltshire
Choosing the colour!
After a colour consultation with the client, it was decided that a colour equivalent to Farrow and Ball Dimity would produce the look that they wanted to achieve on their kitchen. The client wanted a very low sheen to the finish which is very popular with in the kitchen cabinet painting world. The doors were removed and taken to our workshop where the preparation and cabinet painting was undertaken. By taking the doors to the workshop, it means that there is less time spent on site therefore less time that the kitchen is out of action. Once all the frames are completed, the doors are refitted and the final snagging is completed. All of the protection is removed and the kitchen is cleaned leaving a stunning new kitchen.Kitchen Cabinet painters Wiltshire
As you can see from the photographs, the kitchen cabinets in contrast have a fresh lighter look. The kitchen cabinets were repaired and a highly durable coating system has been applied, extending the life of the kitchen.
