They had purchased this kitchen over two decades ago and felt it was starting to look a bit dated. This was a hard decision to change the look of the kitchen. Many of the clients friends loved the Provence paint effect. The clients decided they had enjoyed the look of the kitchen for over 20 years and wanted to give the kitchen a new lease of life. The client, being a professional landscape photographer had definite ideas of the colours they wanted to use. They had chosen colours from the Neptune colour range. They had also decided to change the handles to give a more modern look to the kitchen.
As with all Mark Wilkinson Kitchens the Provence range is a very well built kitchen. Furthermore, over the years the kitchen had acquired many knocks and dents which suited the distressed look of the kitchen. When you start painting the kitchen with a single colour these imperfection stand out. So, the kitchen was degreased to remove all the years of dirt and grease that have built up.
The Kitchen was given a good sanding to flatten the original paint film and then an adhesion primer was applied. The next stage is to fill all the dents and any imperfections. We then re sand all areas to give a flat smooth surface ready to apply topcoats. Once the painting was completed we fitted the new handles and cleaned the kitchen leaving the client with a stunning new look to their kitchen. Kitchen cabinet painters Berkshire
